9Days 7Nights A Perfect Greek Island Zakynthos

(Athens / Mykonos / Santorini / Zakynthos)

 

Day 01 Kuala Lumpur / Dubai / Athens       EK 345 ( 1020 / 1320 ) – 7h00m + EK 103 ( 1620 / 2025 ) – 5h05m

Depart to Athens, the capital and largest city in Greece.
Acropolis
The world famous site and start the walking tour to see the Theater of Herod Atticus, the Propylaea, the Nike Athena Temple and the Parthenon. Acropolis Museum (include entrance) is an archaeological museum which hosts all collection of artifacts in the archaeological excavation that lies at its foundations. The museum’s exhibition program is enriched with the extensive finds from the ancient Athenian city, and the excavation is visible through a series of well positioned large glass openings.

Constitution Square (Syntagma)

Is the central square of Athens. The Square is named after the Constitution that the first King of Greece Otto was obliged to grant, after a popular and military uprising on 3 September 1843

House of Parliament

The Old Parliament House at Stadiou Street in Athens, housed the Greek Parliament between 1875 and 1935. It now houses the country’s National Historical Museum

The Memorial of the Unknown Soldier

The Unknown Soldier Monument, located in front of the Greek Parliament building, was built in 1928 to commemorate the Greek heroes who died in the war that had escaped from the rule of Turkey. The main body of the monument to the monument is the nameless warrior relief, an old Greek warrior wearing a helmet lying on a slate.

National Library

The National Library of Greece is situated near the center of city of Athens. It was designed by the Danish architect Theophil Freiherr von Hansen, as part of his famous Trilogy of neo-classical buildings including the Academy of Athens and the original building of the Athens University.

Day 02 Athens (10km) ~  Piraeus Port (3:30hrs) ~ Mykonos

Cycladic Island of MykonosCycladic Island of Mykonos

Board on a ferry, which will take us to the Cycladic Island of Mykonos, the playground of the rich and famous. Walk around the town of Mykonos, surrounded with its array of quaint blue and white shops and boutiques. See the famous 5 windmills, from where you also have a beautiful view on ‘Little Venice”; with winding narrow streets lined with colourful decorated shops.

After dinner, is time for you to experience the uninhibited nightlife of the vibrant island!

Day 03 Mykonos (2:40hrs) ~  Santorini                     

Morning, free for your own activity, you may sit back & relax and a cocktail in a waterfront restaurant or just take a swim at the dazzling beaches surrounding the island.

Board on a ferry ride to the beautiful Island of Santorini where we spend the next two days. We are met at the port and transferred to our hotel.

After dinner, make yourself available to explore the most dynamic nightlife, have made the island one of Europe’s tourist spots.

Day 04 Santorini 

Kamari

Which unique colour was created by the eruption of the volcano in the ancient time. En-route stop for Santo Wine tasting in a typical Santorini family vineyard.

Pyrgos

The highest point in Santorini for panoramic view. This hillside village was declared a protected settlement in 1995.

Fira

A walk through the narrow streets of Fira is a typical representation of the most common characteristics of the Cycladic Islands, the small shops packed one next to the other, the pebbled streets, the traditional houses with the small blue and sun-burned verandas and of course the amazing view which distinguishes Santorini from every other island. You may take a cable car down to the old port and ride on a donkey for the return journey (own expenses & subject to time permits)

Oia

It is literally hanging on the edge of the cliff on the Caldera, well-known for its beautiful views overlooking the Caldera, the Aegean Sea, stunning sunsets, cute villages and great shopping spots. After dinner, you may walk to the western edge to enjoy its famous sunset.

Day 05 Santorini Athens Delphi  ~  Kyllini  Zakynthos

Delphi

Arachova village viewpoint for a photo session at the famous shooting site for “Descendants of the Sun” Korean drama.

Visit the Archaeological site of Delphi, one of the most important ancient relics of Greece. Most of the ruins that survive today were witnesses to the site’s pinnacle which was built in the 6th century BC and is testament to the diverse cultural influence that hovered over the sanctuary for nearly a millennium.

Day 06 Zakynthos

Navagio Shipwreck Beach  & Blue Caves (boat excursion)

Offers magnificent views of the Zakynthos Island. A stop at Navagio Beach give you an opportunity to take as many pictures of the Shipwreck – a shooting site for the famous Korean drama “Descendants of the Sun” and bring home a lucky stone from the beach. Next, continue your visit to the Blue Cave (subject to weather permits). You may bring along your swim wear if you would like to have a short swimming activity while enjoying your excursion.

Zante Town

The capital and commercial center of the Island. The houses, shops and buildings were rebuilt in the traditional Venetian style, giving significant emphasis on the protection against earthquakes. A brief walking tour to see the St Denis Church, the Catholic Church, Solomon Square and shopping at Roma Street.

   Day 07 Zakynthos  Kyllini Olympia Athens

Travel to Olympia, a sanctuary of ancient Greece, the site of the original Olympic Games and the Olympic flame of the modern day Olympic Games is lit by reflection of sunlight in a parabolic mirror and carried by torch to the place where the games were held.
Archaeological Museum of Olympia

Exhibits a vast collection of artifacts recovered from excavations of prehistoric times to early Christian period. Among the most important exhibits are the Hermes bearing the infant Dionysus by Praxiteles, the Nike of Paeonius, Zeus carrying Ganymedes, Pediments of the Temple of Zeus, the helmet of the Miltiades, Miniature bronze statue of a horse, etc.

En-route, stop at the Corinth Canal, that connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea, cut through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnesian peninsula from the Greek mainland, thus effectively making the former island.
